What have you done in the past 7 months? Working day and night? Finished a big project? Enjoyed your holidays somewhere else? My past 7 months were full of challenges and praises!!!

Milestone 1: God listened my prayers ~=D

In the first two and a half months … after I came back from HK, I thought I had food poisoning. It was because when I got home, I kept vomiting. However, I hadn’t had much food on the plane (actually I only had a cup noodle), so how could I have food poisoning? After half-day in the toilet, I guessed I might pregnant? Without any delay, I had a test and it was POSITIVE~=) Wow! Praise the Lord our God! HE did listen to my prayers!!! Thereafter, I spent the whole two and a half months in the bed, as the ‘morning sickness’ really killed me. Actually it was good for my baby and me, as I could rest at home to let my baby grew safely and healthily!

Milestone 2: So different to live in a foreign country ~=(

Once my first three months of pregnancy was over (God’s time table is so good and excellent), the flat that we bought end of last year was completed. Another big project was waiting for me, to renovate our new home~=( For those who renovated their home before, surely they would know how annoying it was. In HK, you could just simply find a builder, and then he would arrange most/all of the workers for you. In UK, it was another story, you have to find your own plumber, electrician, decorators, plasterer, carpenter… etc. In this civilized country, nearly 90% of employees are so lazy, inefficiency and stick to their ‘own desired’ time table. Now when I looked back, I really thank God that HE gave me enough negotiation power, patient and strengths to monitor all those workers and ‘push’ them to finish our job within one and half month and to complete ON TIME! Definitely it was a miracle to me!

Milestone 3: Making the impossible to possible ?=/

60+ boxes of books, 40+ boxes of records & CDs, 150+ boxes of kitchen wares, clothes, bits & pieces and all of furniture. How many days do you think you need to pack, to move and to unpack all of the boxes? (I really don’t dare to think about it.) Ironically, Charles had an annual conference in Liverpool just before we needed to move. Two days or less than 48 hours, the moving company helped us to pack all the boxes, moved from one block to another without any lifts in the buildings and unpacked them. Believe it or not, not even single cup or saucer has been broken, no box was missing and no one was hurt. Thanks God! We have our own place now and no more moving (this was the third move in the past two years!). Eventually we can settle down!

Milestone 4: Baby’s first English test ~=p

After a week or two to get use to the new environment, I had to study days and nights again~=( Boo! I wasn’t that stupid to enrol another degree course. Unfortunately I had to take an English test (hopefully this is the last exam in my life) for my indefinite settlement visa in UK. Statistics showed about one third of the first time examinees failed the test. So I must study hard to make sure I pass the exam. Otherwise, I was not sure whether my baby could have UK passport or not and I would have to extend my visa and renew it every two years. More importantly, I wanted to travel to Paris with Charles just before the visa expired. So I studied days and nights, sometimes until 1am or 2am ~=p Alleluia! The immigration officer told us that I got 100 marks in the test! Wow! My baby got full scores in the first English test~=p Brilliant!

Milestone 5: Feng Teng & Fei Cha’s romantic city – PARIS f=) &:-p

Some people say Paris is not a nice city to travel to. French people are so arrogant and unfriendly. However Paris is a very special and romantic city to both of us~=) he he! Why?

In our first trip to Paris, Charles put his hand on my shoulder while we took this picture~=D keke! We started our long distance relationship and became boyfriend & girlfriend~=D woo hoo!

Then we re-visited to Paris again to start the first part of our honeymoon after we registered in UK in 2006. The second part of our honeymoon was to travel to Hokkaido after we had our wedding ceremony in HK~=) he he!

This June, before our second anniversary, Charles had his business trip to Paris for a week, so I carried my big bump to join him~=p hehe! PARIS is such a special and memorable city to us!

Milestone 6: Being a good helper ~=)

After the trip, I thought I could relax and start to prepare our naughty one to come. Luckily or not, Charles’ private practise was growing so well, to the point that I had to step in and cleared up his billings, accounts and income statement. Spending three weeks time as his assistant or accounting officer (hehe! quite a decent title~=p), sometimes I worked until 3am, finally I reconciled the past six months accounts, found out all the errors and missing billings and more importantly to keep track his income statement was correct and true or not. After all the hard works, I really thank God that HE gave me the strengths and knowledge to help Charles. Although I am not the best woman that Charles meets in his life (may be he deserves a better one~=p), hopefully I’m his Mrs. Right. Besides, now I understand more about one of the scripture in the bible ‘The Lord God said, “ It is not good for the man to be alone, I will make a helper suitable for him.” (Genesis 2:18) Haha! I’m not the best one, but hopefully I’m the ‘suitable’ and ‘helpful’ one for Charles! (Hehe! This is my understanding/sharing/feeling only, hope it won’t let you down or misunderstand the scripture!)

Milestone 7: Enjoying my pregnancy!

After all the above ‘non-stopping’ challenges, finally I can enjoy every moment of my pregnancy~=) Other than attending different classes to learn how to give birth, become motherhood, meeting other mums, now I can catch up with all of my friends in HK or UK. Also, other happy moments are, nearly every days, I keep receiving gifts, parcels and blessings~=D Taking this opportunity, I must give thanks to my family, relatives and all the uncles and aunties in HK again!!! Thank you so much for your love, kindness and presents!!! My naughty one is so lucky and loved by all of you!!! Really can’t wait to share my naughty one’s photo with you all!!!

Where's the BABY?

I read a meaningful article today and would like to share with you all...

Two women, dressed in their finest, were having lunch in an exclusive restaurant. A friend saw them and came over to greet them. "What's the special occasion?" she asked. One of the women said, "We're having a birthday party for the baby in our family. He's 2 years old today." "But, where is the baby?" the friend asked. The child's mother answered, "Oh, I dropped him off at my mother's house. She's taking care of him until the party's over. It wouldn't have been any fun with him along."

How ridiculous - a birthday celebration for a child who wasn't welcome at his own party! Yet, when you stop to think about it, that's no more foolish than going through the Christmas season, with all of its festivities, without remembering the One (Jesus Christ our Lord) whose birth we are supposed to be honoring.

And that's the way many people celebrate Christmas. In all the busyness - the party-going, gift-shopping, and family gatherings - the One whose birthday they are commemorating is almost completely forgotten.

During this holiday season, in all of our good times with family and friends, make sure we don't leave out the Lord Jesus. Give Him the honor He deserves. (by Richard De Hann, RBC's Christmas Edition)

Our big project is......

What is the ‘big project’? Someone guess I’m pregnant, so I need to spare some space for my babe-to-born. Well, I really really hope so. However, it’s not. Another guess I will move back to HK, so I need to sell my stuff before I leave. Which is good! Unfortunately it’s not God’s will at the moment~=( Then what’s the ‘big project’??? hehe~=) The answer is Charles got a new job in a suburb where near London but far away from our old house, so we need to make the move. Before that we had our first ‘garage sale’ in our lives. It’s FUN and it will make some money $$=)

We have nearly settled down and have opened most of our 200+ boxes ^O^ unbelievable! So we walked around and took some photos!

Time flies! We are already married ONE year la~=D I do want to write something to record our stories in the past year: unfortunately, both of us are so busy this weekend, so I will do it next week while I have nothing to do at work~=p keke!

Some of our friends did not attend our wedding but do want to know how we met, whether it was in HK or London, how God blessed us by putting both of us as a couple etc. Here it’s one of my sharing in my fellowship’s newsletter before. Hope it can answer some of the questions.

零五年初的時候，我决心要將整本新、舊約聖經看一遍。當看到"亞伯拉罕"的事蹟時，心中確實懷疑並且暗笑――上帝只因為"亞伯拉罕"的信心，就真的給他這麼多的祝福和應許？？？

回想「飯廳」的信心，絕對不能跟"亞伯拉罕"的信心相提並論。但零五年初的一個早上(好像是1月8日)，讀聖經的時候，心中起了一個問題――難道主耶穌不比Charles更好嗎？為何我心中有此問題呢？只因當時心裡有著很大的掙扎。我記得有位男同事(初信主的弟兄)好心的相勸說：「不要單顧教會、團契及公司的小組，也要去認識異性，你年紀不輕的了！」相信他不是有心的說，但這番話卻酸溜溜的放在心上。同時我和Charles的媒人婆Xandy一而再，再而三地勸我不要錯失跟Charles發展的機會。但當日(1月8日)清楚地想到，我會否跟一個不信上帝的人發展而忘記或遠離上帝呢？我沉思了很久，最終我的確從口裡並心底裡拒絕了。或許有很多人也不相信我的決定，正如Xandy所說：「不要這麼執著吧！要找一個這麼好背景、又是香港人、從未結過婚、專業人士、有學識，家境和年紀都這麼適合，不要太過份哩！信不信耶穌都不要緊。」對！世上沒有十全十美的人，但對我而言，卻寧願找一個信靠上帝的人，比起有各樣的背景更重要。或許對我這個曾失去十年感情的人而言，對感情的期望也隨之而失去，又或許上一次的痛仍深深在我的腦海裡。

哈利路亞！奇妙的事竟然發生了，就像"亞伯拉罕"獻"以撒"("亞伯拉罕"的兒子)一般。當我全心全意信靠上帝，拒絕這段感情時，這個戇直的肥叉(Charles)竟跟我道明他不單不是基督徒，並且是一個叛徒。自小他就跟母親到九龍城浸信會上主日學，但到了英國後，卻失去了所信的憑據，而且在過去多年間參加過Alpha Course，並到教會跟牧師討論信仰，但一直尋不到上帝，希望信卻信不了。聽到此番話時，心中卻歡喜不已，原來他是一頭固執的迷羊。其後我倆因為一篇文章「挪亞的日子vs人子降臨的日子」而開始我們的交往。及後我倆每逢星期六、日也會花上一、兩個小時通電話。感謝上帝！雖然我們分隔兩地，但是感情卻比認識了三、四年的情侶更好，我倆更是無所不談。坦白說，到了這年紀，行街食飯睇戲並不重要，重要的是相同的信仰和價值觀。雖然這一年間也有擔心與疑惑，但真的感謝讚美上帝給我一個友好的祈禱伙伴，在零五年間，每逢星期二Sonia都與我一起祈禱交託。在我和肥叉交往期間，不單沒有忘記或遠離上帝，相反在我不想祈禱時，他鼓勵我返祈禱會；當我想拒絕商福的邀請作嘉賓講員時，他卻多番提醒我，要將上帝給我的經歷與人分享等等。

至於肥叉在2006年3月5日受洗了，3月30日我們在英國註冊，7月8日充滿著上帝的祝福和弟兄姊妹的愛，在家人及朋友見證下，於上帝面前我倆立了約，此後更加過著充滿恩典與喜樂的日子。

此刻再看到"亞伯拉罕"的事蹟時，我不再懷疑，更不敢再暗笑了，而是含淚的讚美上帝。坦白說，肥叉真的對我很好，比我所想像的還要好，他不單愛護和了解我，並能忍受我的壞脾氣。上帝，我算甚麼，你竟以這厚恩待我。願上帝給我的祝福，也能成為弟兄姊妹的祝福！

Free entry to Wimbledon

After two hours queuing and four MORE hours
waiting in the rain, F&C enjoyed watching a
good set of tennis last Saturday; where else but in Wimbledon?
In fact it was free~=D hehe! Why? Historical rules dictate that if play for the day is less than 60 minutes: and we only managed 53 minutes: fans are entitled to a FULL refund! kekeke~=p Afterwards, we walked
around for a while and then decided to leave early~=p
it's not too bad! At least we experienced sitting in
the first row, watched a professional set and had a nice
outdoor picnic!

Our daily bread

I read a good article today, it reminds me when we give thanks to God before our meals, we have to give thanks from our hearts. The article mentioned about the people in Congolese, a village near Rwanda. Because of the serious problems of their unemployment, poverty and malnutrition there, the people often don't know where their next meal will come from. It was such an urgent prayer to them who lived from hand to mouth. So each time they sit down to eat, they thank God and ask God to provide the next meal for them. Unlikely, we may not concern how precious is our meals, as we always take it for granted. So don't forget to give thanks from our hearts to God while we have our meals.

My first job in London

After stop working for nearly a year, this week I resume to work~=) Thanks God! Although it's a part-time job, I do treasure it. Some of my friends may admire my life as a housewife in London right now, however, I prefer to work sometimes. Not only because I want to prove that I have abilities to work, but also want to earn some money/food comes from God's hands.
